Are you interested in studying abroad but do not know how to start the process? Confused about how your credits transfer? Have no idea of how to choose the right program? Come straight to the source and learn the answers to all of these questions and more.
Twice a week throughout the semester we offer Study Abroad 101, an informal but required group advising session. During these sessions we discuss the following topics:
- Credit transfer
- Financial aid and scholarships
- Strategies on choosing the right program
- Programs available to UMBC students
Study Abroad 101 sessions are held each week throughout the semester in room 218 in the Administration Building at the following times:
You only need to come to one session to get all the tools and resources you need to start planning your international experience. Get your basic questions answered and learn how to start planning for your term overseas.
You are required to attend a Study Abroad 101 session before you can meet with a Study Abroad Advisor.
If you’ve attended the Study Abroad 101 and you are not sure where to start, you can meet with a Study Abroad Peer Advisor to help you set goals and start looking through programs.
