UMBC is a proud member of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) network, which is a global exchange program that provides students with an immersive and authentic semester or full-academic year abroad experience. ISEP offers programs at over 300 institutions in over 40 different countries around the world. UMBC students pay UMBC tuition (at their in or out-of-state rate), room and full board to UMBC.
UMBC’s application deadline is generally a mid-August for Spring and Mid-February for Fall and Academic Year programs. This is about a month before the ISEP deadline, so that UMBC students can have their applications reviewed by Education Abroad staff. The application process can be lengthy but the immersive ISEP experience is so worth the work! We require students to meet with us at least three weeks before the listed UMBC deadline.
